We have a vast array of translators on hand to handle any language for you. From Arabic to Vietnamese, we can translate it.
How do I request an estimate?
To request an estimate, simply fill in the form on the Free Quote page of our website. If you have your file or document in an electronic format, you can attach it and send it to us for a secure and fast transfer.
How do you price?
Pricing is based on a per word count in most cases. The target language also affects the pricing. Your estimate will be detailed so you can see our exact costs… with no surprises.
If I only have a hardcopy of my document, how can I get it to you for a quote?
The best way to send your document is via email. It can also be faxed, but we recommend sending via email whenever possible. You can attach it as a Word document, or scan it and send as a pdf.
Are your translators certified?
Our translators are ATA certified professionals or hold comparable certification in their own native country. They have at least 5-10 years experience translating material of the required expertise, and have a full understanding of the cultures of both the source and the target languages. Simply put, they are the best of the best.
What qualifications do your translators have?
Our translators are certified professionals with many years of experience in their respective fields. Our pool of native speaking translators, many with advanced degrees, and a proven record of competence.
How do you ensure that my translation is accurate?
We have a proprietary system that ensures accuracy, precision, and matches the cultural nuances of the target language. Not only does our unique system assure quality and correctness, but we also implement several steps from the beginning of the project to end, to ensure that your translation is totally accurate. Before you see your translation, it will have passed through the hands of several proofreaders, to ensure accuracy and provide you with worry-free service.
Do you provide interpretation services?
Yes. We can offer interpreters in almost any language for your business meetings, conference calls or client visits. Fees are based on an hourly rate depending on language.
What is the difference between translation and localization?
Translation is the process of expressing a piece of text in another language. Localization is the process of rendering something 'local' in attitude, customs, and behavior. The localization of a website, for example, requires an element of translation and knowledge of the local culture. ABC Translations specializes in providing translations that are “localized” so that they do not ever appear to be a translation from another language, but seem to be an original created in that native tongue.
What if I want the translation to look exactly like the original?
We provide multilingual desktop publishing, formatting and typesetting. Whether it's for a product label, a website or personal use, we will make your translation look exactly how your original is.
What is DTP?
DTP, or desktop publishing refers to the arrangement and layout of your project. Once the text is translated, ABC Translation Services can design and arrange your piece to have the look and feel of the original, or create a new or refreshed professional appearance altogether!
What does formatting mean?
Formatting refers to the exact location of the translation between specified margins.
What does typesetting mean?
Typesetting refers to the "type" font and keystroke of every word in your document. ABC Translation Services has over 450 type styles to choose from.
Can you handle the printing of my job?
We are a full-service translation company, providing all aspects of your project workflow. Many of our clients want us to handle their printing and mailing to target audience. Our worldwide resources and years of experience allow us to get the job done quickly, affordably, and effectively. Can I send you my file electronically?
Yes, by attaching it to your estimate request found on our Free Quote page of our website.
How can I send you a huge file?
Files smaller than 20 MB in size can be safely attached to your email. Otherwise, use a portable USB drive or burn a CD and send it to us. We will return the medium once we have processed your request.
What is PDF?
PDF is an abbreviation for "Portable Document Format." PDF allows you to view documents in any language even if you do not have the fonts for that language. To view or print a PDF file, you'll need the free Acrobat® Reader. For more information please see the Adobe web site.
Which file formats do you work with?
Content: doc, xls, ppt, pdf, txt, rtf, zip, rar. Desktop publishing: pdf, pub, psd, gif, jpg, png, bmp, wmf, tif. Web localization: html, htm, asp, php. If you do not see your required file format in the list above then let us know and we will endeavor to meet your needs.
